Severnside Fabrics Ltd is certified by an accredited Certification Body to ISO 9001 Quality Management System, where products are delivered right first time, on time and according to customer specifications.
We have held this standard since 2002, and recently upgraded our systems to adapt to ISO 9001:2015.
This means that quality is inherent in everything that Severnside Fabrics Ltd does, where every employee is empowered to take responsibility for the quality of the product they produce or the service they provide.
Severnside Fabrics Ltd have recently acheived certification to ISO 14001:2015, this means all of our processes have been integrated to create an IMS (Integrated Management System). This ensures that our quality (ISO 9001:2015) goes hand in hand with our Environmental Policy (ISO 14001:2015). Ensuring the best quality products are produced with all of our actions assessed ensuring minimal environmental impact.
As a conscientious employer with the environment at the forefront of our thinking, we ask all of our customers to dispose of all products and packaging in a responsible, correct manner to minimise the impact on the environment and health.
Quality Policy
Severnside Fabrics Limited is a member of the Laundry Division of the Andrews Group, supplying and fitting Ironer padding, Feeder banding, Folder banding, Sewn products and associated equipment to the Laundry Industry.
The senior management of Severnside Fabrics Limited firmly and unequivocally believe that to ensure customer satisfaction and product conformity the Integrated Management System (IMS) must be aligned with the business context and strategic direction of the company. By implementing an IMS in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 it will help ensure that a structured and systematic management system is created, to ensuring that this alignment is maintained.
Severnside Fabrics Limited is committed to Customer Satisfaction at all times and ensures through the effective implementation of this IMS what the customer’s requirements are, and always will be met.
Overall responsibility for this policy rests with the top management. Each manager shall demonstrate leadership, commitment and encourage employee participation in support of this policy.
In pursuance of this policy top management of Severnside Fabrics Limited commits to:
- ensuring that the quality improvement objectives are established for the IMS management system and are compatible with the context and strategic direction of the organization;
- ensuring the integration of the IMS management system requirements into the organization’s business processes and that systems procedures and other IMS documentation is strictly adhered to at all times.
- promoting the use of the process approach and risk-based thinking;
- ensuring that the resources needed for the IMS are available;
- communicating the importance of effective quality management and of conforming to the IMS requirements;
- engaging, directing and supporting persons to contribute to the effectiveness of the IMS promoting improvement;
- supporting other relevant management roles to demonstrate their leadership as it applies to their areas of responsibility
- the review of the effectiveness of the IMS by evaluating performance against targets and implementing new improvements in line with strategic direction and business needs.
This document is made available through corporate media and upon request to interested parties. It shall be communicated at all levels in the organisation.

Environmental Policy
The Management of Severnside Fabrics Limited recognises and accepts their concerns for the environment. In this respect, the company will seek actively to reduce its impact on the environment to the lowest practical minimum.
Any threat of pollution to the environment from the activities of Severnside Fabrics Limited will be identified and either eliminated or effectively controlled.
Through setting Objectives and measuring our performance against these, using Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s), we will use the Integrated Management System as the framework for improvement. As part of the management review, and as a commitment to continuous improvement, the management team analyse the effectiveness of the Integrated Management System (IMS), agree objectives and take the necessary actions to maintain the viability of the business and the continuity of service to our clients.
It is therefore the intention of Severnside Fabrics Limited to ensure that the following is carried out so far as is reasonably possible:
- Minimise any disturbance to the global environment by ensuring all redundant, damaged or faulty batteries and electronic equipment is disposed of in accordance with WEEE directive.
- Disposal and transportation of waste will be carried out in a responsible manner with due regard to all environmental considerations. Severnside Fabrics Limited will endeavour to minimise spillages and maintain good housekeeping as part of our system of compliance.
- Equipment will be maintained to the highest possible standard in order to minimise accidents and unforeseen occurrences providing the maximum practical environmental protection.
- In order to assist in reducing emissions and power consumption, Severnside Fabrics Limited will always attempt to continuously improve equipment performance with improved maintenance and operations that will help conserve energy resources.
- Severnside Fabrics Limited will make all employees aware of their individual responsibilities for acting in accordance with the environmental policy and will give suitable training to ensure that this carried out.
- Information necessary to enable Severnside Fabrics Limited’s consumable products to be properly used, stored and disposed of will be provided, so as to avoid unacceptable effects on man or the environment.
